This isn't New Yorker Ezekiel Honig's first record, but it is without a doubt his most complete as he submerges the rhythmic elements ever deeper into the mix, allowing the gorgeous progressions and thoughtful field recordings to take center stage. Organic is a word that has been overused, but these tracks teem with life, and as each track drifts into the next there's never a sense that the human element has been disengaged from the zeroes and ones.

Finally available in download form, these four songs were originally included as a bonus disc with the initial release of Klimek's "Dedications" full-length. Like the album itself, as well as Sebastian Meissner's (Klimek) work on Mille Plateux and Kompakt, clusters of piano, guitar and other instrumentation are electronically enhanced, digitized and manipulated into stunning ambient sound clusters.

After stellar ambient/electro-acoustic releases on Kompakt and Mille Plateaux, Sebastian Meissner drops "Dedications," perhaps his most personal work to date. By tweaking and deconstructing guitar, piano and a variety of other instruments, he's created gorgeous soundscapes that serve as tributes to some of the people that have inspired Meissner the most, including everyone from Ol' Dirty Bastard to Giacinto Scelsi.
