Originally released in 1970, Clearing’s debut enjoys a reissue by way of Yoga Records. These cuts are considerably more straightforward than those featured a few years later on 1973’s self-titled release in that they borrow heavily from the traditional and Americana canons (see their arresting rendition of “I’ll Fly Away). In the end, though, Clearing’s unmistakable sound comes through, in all of its delicate, flute-laced prettiness.
