Trayer's productions are melodic, warm and playful, the producer pulling from a grab bag of ambient, IDM, chip music and experimental influences, while not shying away from organic accents such as guitar and organ. It comes together quite nicely and One Over Zero is sure to find broad appeal from Boards of Canada fans to Ghost Box and Karaoke Kalk enthusiasts.
LINER NOTES: Trayer explores an organic and humanistic approach to electronic music with particular emphasis placed on melody and harmony. While most electronic music falls nicely into one easy to categorize genre “One Over Zero” dodges conventional name tags. A mixed bag of electronic, ambient, IDM, experimental, musique concrète, are all touched upon but the sound of Trayer is uniquely his own. There is no shortage of creativity as each song stands on its own as a distinctive statement. A strong debut recording that will bring about many repeated listens.
