We can’t really blame Superchunk for taking eight years to release a new record (and a four-song EP at that, with one track from a previously released 45), because they blow it all away. Time seems to disappear with the first notes of “Learned To Surf” from Leaves in the Gutter, a little record that will make you remember why this band was once the most important thing in indie rock. They may be old, but they can still rock your tired ass.
