Electro blues? "Magnetic Boom" is a steaming hot hybrid of drum machines, swampy guitars, and VV's trademark sultry, pouty croon. Dark and glammy, art-damaged and unabashedly rock 'n' roll, the Kills once again deliver a solid album, that sounds kinda like what one could imagine Royal Trux would come up with if they'd had a house full of drum machines and fashion magazines.
